Okay, stop. This? This is what pissing me off about this whole thing. She was upset because her family decided she wasn't worth enough of a crap to get decent explanation or even a "I can't talk about this right now." She was blindsided, cast off, and now when he finally does get in touch with her, it's through a friggin' text message?

She's not acting like a brat. She defended both of you when I obviously wasn't getting how much of a big deal this was for you, and if he wouldn't talk to anyone else, he ought to talk to the people he considers family, because that's what family does. No matter how bad you fuck up, when someone makes the effort to reach out to you, you don't throw it away and expect them to just pretend like it didn't happen.

Stop acting like he needs to be coddled when he hasn't convinced anyone, least of all the people who care about him, that he hasn't done anything wrong. He fucked up. If he's not gonna put up the effort, because he's in a delicate state, then he doesn't deserve it.

One; I'm not coddling him. I barely get to see him, except when he's at the HoA, which, I haven't been most of the week. Two; he had a mental breakdown, helped along, I might add, by that jerk of a brother of yours, Castiel. Three; I enacted legal and medical proxy for a reason, Gabriel. It wasn't for shits and giggles, and while you couldn't see it on the network? She could and she didn't ask.

I'm not defending what he did, because I don't know what that is yet. What I am doing? Is actually being grateful to your older brothers because back home his mental breaks mean body counts and we didn't have that here.

You're putting his emotional well-being over the people he might have hurt- if that's not coddling, I don't know what is. If he didn't want a mental breakdown, maybe he shouldn't have tortured and killed Castiel's friend.

So it all goes back to the same damn thing- he wouldn't be in his position if he hadn't fucked up. He should've known the amount of bridges he was going to burn and if he kills more people because of it? Well, that's his problem. It's not on any of us. It's on him

It's not coddling to take care of someone, Gabriel. Jesus, I know you've got your issues, but I could turn it back on you and tell you to stop coddling Jinx, too. But I don't. I respect that she went through shit, and needs the time. He was slipping before the whole Crowley mess, and Cas just jammed him right into the mental break. So why can't he have the time to get better?

I'm not keeping anyone on a leash. Have you any idea what I'm actually doing? At all? Or are you just looking at it as a 'us vs them' mentality and to hell with what my actual reasons are?

Also? I'll tell you the exact same thing I told your little BFF Chuck: If you can get me some way to get him away from the two archangels with my ass and his mental health intact? I'm all for it, but taking on archangels is above my paygrade and I'm not feeling suicidal right now.

Jinx didn't kill anyone, because of what she was going through. Hell, she barely spoke to anyone for a month, but when someone asked about her, she damn well answered. And she actually was a victim. Don't pretend they're the same damn thing.

I don't care what you're doing. This would've blown over if you'd stopped trying to field everything yourself, because, honestly? I don't think you know what you're doing. Your intentions are good, but so far? You've just succeeded in making people ten times more annoyed with him than they would've been if you'd just shut up. Murder's a dime a dozen around here. No one would've went after him, no matter what they said. Instead? You should have just said "he's not available- everyone stay in your corners until this is settled" and shut off your NV and refused to say another word about it. You knew just as little as everyone else, but you took the matters into your own hands, when it wasn't your damn business.

[Jubilee just starts laughing at you. Laughing. It takes her a minute to hiccup to a stop, but she still has amusement in her voice.]

And I made the announcement because I knew there are certain Newcomers who would take up the cause and try to start an investigation. Guess what? They did. They came and saw that I had the proxies and they left. That is what I was doing.

And it was my business because while you may know and trust Crowley? I don't. I shut down the house to protect it, because I didn't know what would happen. Precautionary measures ring a bell?

Whatever. Forget I said it. The point is, you overstepped your bounds. You didn't know a damn thing about the situation, so it wasn't your place to say whether he was guilty, innocent, or if the proof would be in the pudding if said pudding ever showed up. Who cares if everyone cried he was guilty? Suck it up, tell everyone he's not talking, and then turn your damn phone off.

He cared. Loyalty is more important to him than honesty. Though, honesty ranks right up there.

I never said he was guilty or innocent, I said "wait" and "stop calling because it's coming to me". And saying that once is easier than saying it a hundred times. Especially since, at the time, I had pneumonia and was sick as a dog.

So, really, Gabriel, who have I defended him to? I'm not even defending him to you here and now. I'm asking that you chill the fuck out, and ask your girlfriend to chill the fuck out, because he's still mentally fragile, and using texts rather than anything because that's easiest for him to manipulate at this point. If she wants to see him? She is welcome at the House and I'll make damn sure she can see him. Maybe then she, and you, will understand it's not about any of you, it's about a man who's been on the decline for a long while now, and realizing how much he hurt someone he respected and cared for - who then gave him that final kick off the cliff.

So, maybe, you can get over whatever it is you're flinging your family issues at for ten minutes, and look at it not as someone hiding behind your big brothers, but as a guy, a soldier who finally broke because he can't retreat to his asteroid, or kill a few thousand people. Because boy has this been a long time coming. Sorry it inconvenienced you.
