I don't screw around after Darkness as a general rule, so no. Doesn't mean it hasn't always been there, but not many of 'em can actually do more than make you bleed. You're way too shaken for it to be just a little bloodletting.

I took Mary and fled - if I had attempted to fight the thing, I would have been injured a more before I would have been able to kill it.
