IC CONTACT POST

[A woman's voice comes over the line.]
You've reached the Trickster's voicemail. Unfortunately, Mr. Trickster isn't available to take your call, nor will he likely ever be. Should you still wish to leave a message, please respond after the tone, and maybe we'll remember to get it to him, mmkay?
[Beep]
[[OOC: This is an IC voicemail post for all verses games. Please put the name of the verse/game you want in the subject heading.]]

Better than most. If she was human, she'd be dead. Don't make the big picture any less grim, though.
no subject
In the big picture, do you really think this will be more than a speck on the frame? [Time: angels have a lot of it. It makes Lucifer both more existential and more wrapped up in details than mortals--even more than other angels, in fact.]

And out of meta-land, Gabriel just sighs and pulls away.] For me? Maybe not. For her? It's kind of a big deal and I can't just say, "Life's a bitch and then you die" and make this all go away.
no subject
He doesn't ask.]
I'm sure Castiel can fill her up with alcohol if it comes to that. [Doesn't that help?]
no subject
Y'know... I love you, bro. I really do. [He punches his shoulder in a rough, yet affectionate gesture.] But you suck at this.
no subject
Then let me give you some real advice.
no subject
Shoot.

Don't let this define your relationship.
[A beat; he steps closer]
And while she's healing, not just physically, keep your eyes on her. Don't worry about all of this. Turn off your beeper and hole up.

And now Gabriel's concerned on a number of levels. And he knows why. They brought it here- to his safe place.] Thousands of years of you idiots asking me to choose and now you're asking me to keep out of it- what're the odds?

[Worried? About the brother who killed him? About the brother that despises everything he is now?
Always.]

And what is a Void, Gabriel? Who sent them for you?
no subject
[He looks away again.] No one sent them. I got cocky and I screwed up.

And if you don't tell me what happened, I won't know what to avoid.

These two companies everyone's always talking about? Are full of jackasses. I wanted to hit 'em. I followed a scent-trail to some guy who worked for one of 'em, supposedly working on something to keep people from ending up helpless if the Core goes nutty and zaps everyone's powers. I figured I could get a two-for-one deal, if he was legit. Turns out? He wasn't. I got caught, hauled in, and got to experience first hand what a high school Biology lesson feels like. I got out, got the guy back, and I've been a lot more careful since. End of story. Okay?

[As much blame as Satan gets for corporate evil, he actually pays very little attention to business. So he lets Gabriel go and paces a few steps, thinking.]
Now, when you say you were caught, don't you mean he lured you there? A false promise, an easy catch...that sounds like a trap.

[He looks at Gabriel finally; yeah Lucifer already has an idea. Of course he does.]
no subject
[And yet, it's distracting him from his current issue... By giving him something else to be stressed over.
And fuck you too, Lucifer.]
no subject
[He crosses the distance between them and stops close to Gabriel.]
I'm not going to run off and take them on, Gabriel, don't be stupid.
no subject
I was kinda hoping you'd let the fools these mortals be... Be, and just ignore the assclowns. My mistake.
[He narrows his eyes.] Whatever, but, uh... If you get caught, Jinx is the only person who can get in and out of a facility without screwing the pooch big time. Just keep that in mind, bro.
